What You Need To Know About EFT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy).
Do you feel stuck in your relationship? Have you lost trust, and are no longer sure how to communicate? Do you want to be heard by your partner?
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) has a revolutionary way of perceiving relationships. Backed by extensive research, it is considered the “golden standard” in couples therapy. Groundbreaking studies on EFT are remarkable: 70-75% of couples recover from their relationship distress and 90% show significant improvement.
EFT for couples is designed to help you and your partner create a strong bond and secure attachment. This model helps couples to move out of negative cycles that keeps your relationship stuck. Sometimes this work includes discovering more emotions and feelings than you were aware you had. Most couples report having a breakthroughs in their connection with one another.
EFT therapists are trained in the science of attachment that was originally evolved from John Bowlby’s work in the 1960, and then developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and colleagues in the 1980s.
As a therapist, I have had the honorable opportunity to work with hundreds of couples and help repair trust and connection, improve communication, create secure bond, and renew passion.
It is my honor to assist you on this journey.
What to expect:
1. First session - 50 min ($ 105) or 90-min ($ 150) - intake/relationship history interview with couple.
2. Second session - 50-min individual session with each person ($105/session);
3. 50 min ($ 105) or 90-min ($ 150) on-going intervention sessions: deep dive into working on couple's therapy goals.
We create change that lasts.
The duration of therapy depends on each specific situation and goals, and most couples that I work with report satisfaction and noticeable change in approximately 5 weeks. Check out what other clients say about their experiences:
